Saint Aloysius Parish was founded in 1892 in Caldwell. The parish was the original "mother church" of the West Essex area of the Archdiocese of Newark. The parishioners have given of themselves to make the parish what it is today: a community of faith, prayer and service. Today, our parish is a community of over 2,000 member families. We are proud to offer a full religious education lineup, from Pre-K through 8th grade. We also have an Adult Choir and a Children's Choir, directed by our Music Director, Mr. Joseph Wozniak. We offer RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, where adults can become Catholic, a program run by Sister Alice Uhl, OP. We jointly operate a Catholic school, grades Pre-K to 8, with two other Catholic parishes in the West Essex area, Notre Dame and Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. We have three Masses daily, Adoration & Novena on Mondays, as well as seven Sunday Masses, including one in Spanish.
