Welcome to our 2024-25 Family Religious Education program.
This year's hybrid program has four components:
Component 1: Family gatherings
Families (parents and children together) will attend five (5) 90-minute gatherings during the year. Families will join together in the gym for prayer and an introduction to the session's theme; then children will be dismissed to classrooms to work with catechists on a grade-level textbook lesson (using the Finding God series); parents will stay in the gym for adult faith formation and discussion; the gathering will conclude with families working together on a hands-on project (social justice, service, liturgical).
Component 2: Traditional classroom Children only will attend an additional six (6) 90-minute classes to complete grade-level textbook lessons (using the Finding God series) with their catechists.
Component 3: At-home work
Parents will work at home with their children to complete the remaining grade-level textbook lessons (using the Finding God series). Children will submit an online assessment for each lesson completed at home.
Component 4: Bring a Godparent to Mass
On one scheduled Sunday, children will bring a Godparent (or other special person) with them to Mass followed by breakfast in the gym.
Special Needs: Our programs provide an inclusive education for all children with special needs. Placement is done at the discretion of the program leaders and cooperation of the parents. Please inform us of your child’s learning needs, allergies, and any factors that may assist us in the education and care of your child. Spaces are provided on the registration form for this information.
