Sister Eleanor Uhl is a Dominican Sister of Caldwell. She came to St. Aloysius Parish in 2016 to serve as a minister to the elderly and sick who are in their home, hospital or nursing home. She coordinates the Heart to Heart Program, which connects young people to the elderly and sick through visits and card making. She also enjoys being involved in the Family Faith Formation Program as a teacher and being a member of the parish Green Team.
Sister Eleanor received her first degree in English and Education from Caldwell University. She earned her Master’s degree from Seton Hall University in Education and Reading. She did post graduate studies at Fordham University, Notre Dame University and Xavier University. Sister Eleanor has ministered as teacher and principal in New Jersey, Alabama and Abaco, Bahamas. She also serves on the Dominican Haitian Mission Team and has ministered in Haiti during the summer months.
She presently lives in Marian Manor, Caldwell, New Jersey with Sister Alice, her sister!
Together they enjoy reading, theater, sports, traveling and dancing!
