Rev. Fr. Andrew M. Rubinich was born in Belleville and was raised in Fairfield. His family's parish was Saint Thomas More. He attended Fairfield Public Schools and West Essex Regional Middle & High School, graduating in 2016. After being heavily active in parish life and ministry at Saint Thomas More, growing in his relationship with Jesus and his Church—the Body of Christ, and desiring to be a man who lives for others, Fr. Andrew entered the College Seminary of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Andrew's Hall. There, he continued his discernment and began his priestly formation. After four years, he graduated in 2020 with a B.A. in Catholic Philosophical Theology from Seton Hall University. He advanced and completed his studies for the priesthood at Immaculate Conception Seminary, also at Seton Hall University. He received an M.Div. in Pastoral Ministry and an M.A. in Moral Theology in 2024. Fr. Andrew served as a Transitional Deacon at Saint Paul the Apostle Church in the Greenville section of Jersey City the year before his priestly ordination. He was ordained a Priest of Jesus Christ for the Archdiocese of Newark on Saturday, May 25, 2024, by Cardinal Tobin. Shortly after, Fr. Andrew was assigned to Saint Aloysius Parish as Parochial Vicar. He has been praying for you through his years in the seminary and looks forward to walking this journey of faith and life together.
