Father Jose was born in Colombia in 1979, a member of a family of 9. He studied Philosophy in Zipaquira City, Colombia before coming to the United States and studying English at Rutgers University and Theology at Seton Hall University. As a transititional deacon, he served at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Jersey City. After his ordination in 2012, Father Jose was assigned first to Immaculate Conception, Elizabeth and then to St. Nicholas, Jersey City. Father Jose came to St. Aloysius in June 2017. Father Jose uses his skills in music and sports in his work in evangelization. He enjoys teaching Sacred Scripture and exploring the Word of God.
