Cathy was born and raised in Clifton and continues to live in her original homestead. After high school, she worked for twenty-five years in the laboratory of St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic. Listening excitedly to medical jargon day after day, a career in medicine seemed imminent. However, God had other plans.
In 1986, she answered the call to become a catechist. One simple “yes” began her thirty-five year journey in Religious Education. Beginning in 1995, Cathy embarked on her academic career at the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ. She received a certificate in Pastoral Ministry, followed by a BA and MA in Theology. Cathy’s study’s continued at Fordham University where she earned a PhD in Religious Education. On the fun side, she received a certificate from The Protocol School of Convent Station.
Cathy is looking forward to meeting and serving the families of St. Aloysius as she directs the Religious Education Program for adolescents in grades 7 and 8 as well as the parish Confirmation preparation program.
