Sister Alice Uhl, OP is a Dominican Sister of Caldwell, NJ. She ministered here at St. Aloysius Parish in the 1990’s as the director of the Parish’s religious education programs and returned in Fall 2010 to minister in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process and in the Faith Formation programs.
Sister Alice is a graduate of Caldwell University (then Caldwell College) with a degree in English and education and a masters degree in Pastoral Ministry from Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University. She is a trained and certified spiritual director. Sister Alice has ministered as a teacher, principal and pastoral associate in parishes in Newark, Kenilworth and Spring Lake. She has served in various ministries in the Dominican Sisters’ Congregation.
Sister Alice resides presently in Marian Manor, a Dominican-sponsored senior citizen housing community, with her sister, Sister Eleanor, a Dominican Sister, who also ministers here at St. Aloysius Parish. Sister Alice enjoys sports, theater, movies and, of course, dancing!
