Our beautiful altar linens require laundering, pressing/ironing, and care taking so they are appropriately suited to serve during Communion with the Chalices and Communion cups.

Young Parishioners who have received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and are in grade 4 or higher may participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as Altar Servers at all of our Parish Masses. Adults may participate during our weekday 8 AM and 12 noon Masses and our Saturday 8 AM Mass. By displaying reverence and providing assistance, Altar Servers have an important role in our worship and help others pray well.
If you are the parent(s)/guardian(s) of an interested child or an adult who wishes to serve at weekday and Saturday morning Masses, please call the Rectory (973-226-0221) or email the Coordinator directly:

Our Lectors participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass by reading Holy Scriptures, offering the Prayer of the Faithful, and otherwise assisting the Celebrant when requested. New Lectors supplement their knowledge of the parts of the Mass (both routine and special) in an individual orientation and then join their fellow lay ministers in periodic refreshers. After orientation, Lectors for Sunday masses are scheduled quarterly to serve one mass of their choice (typically serving 3-4 times in each 3-month period). Lectors for weekday Masses and Holy Days of Obligation are scheduled weekly.
If you are interested in serving as a Lector, please call the Rectory (973-226-0221); parish staff will help new Lectors connect with the appropriate Coordinator.

Members of the Living Rosary join in reciting the powerful Rosary for peace in our homes, communities, and country, as well as for special intentions. All participants are grouped into teams of five, and each group member commits to praying a single decade of the Rosary each day (at any time or place), ensuring that each team prays the whole Rosary every day.

Each year, on a Saturday near All Souls' Day, our Parish celebrates a Mass of Remembrance to commemorate the lives of those Parishioners who have passed away during the prior 12 months. Family members are all welcome, and each family that is present for the Mass will receive a candle that is lit and placed at the altar in memory of their deceased loved one. Additionally, the names of all the deceased are read aloud and prayed for by everyone. Family members will receive a letter inviting them to join us at the Mass.
